Excellent. The rifle retains 90% plus of the original phosphate finish, showing areas of brown patina, along with scattered pitting and handling marks. Pitting is visible on the trigger guard and buttplate, with a screw absent from the latter. The stock is very fine, with some chipping at the butt and scattered dents and scratches. The action is fine.
