Manufactured in 1899. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Casehardened frame and hammer, with blue on the remaining parts, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with two piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Fine. The barrel, ejector housing and cylinder are a mix of 40% original thin blue finish and the balance a smooth gray patina. The grip straps have a smooth gray patina with traces of original thin blue finish in the protected areas of the trigger guard and at the top of the back strap. The frame and hammer have a smooth mottled gray patina with strong traces of original case colors in protected areas. The grips are very good with heavy wear on the right panel, a few minor dings overall and crisp checkering on the left panel. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
