The included Browning factory letter confirms Olympian grade, caliber and light weight barrel without sights. The rifle was manufactured in Belgium and sold for $493.38 on December 10, 1970 to Cullem & Boren Co., Dallas, Texas. The barrel is blue, the trigger is gold, the bolt and follower are polished, the extractor jeweled and the remaining parts are a French grey. The breech end of the barrel has a 2 inch floral scroll and punch dot engraved wedge on each side. The front receiver ring is engraved with a running pronghorn antelope in a plains scene on the right side, a white tail buck on the left side and the remainder of the action is scroll leaf and punch dot engraved. The hinged floor plate is engraved with a mountain lion in a tree with floral scroll engraving below and on the attaching metal and is signed "J. BAERTEN". The left side of the receiver is signed "R. GRECO." The trigger guard is engraved with a mountain goat in a mountain scene. The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and matte hand carving on the forearm and grip area. The stock has contrasting forend and grip cap, a raised comb, cheekpiece, Pachmayr recoil pad and sling swivel studs.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% original blue finish showing some loss at the muzzle and some minor handling wear. The remaining metal surfaces retain 99% original French gray finish with only the slightest handling marks. The stock is very fine with some minor handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. There are some minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering.
