Desirable DWM Model 1906 Commercial American Eagle Luger Pistol Chambered in Scarce 9mm Parabellum

This is a very fine example of a commercial Model 1906 "American Eagle" Luger that was produced by DWM factory. This type of Luger was manufactured expressly by the DWM factory for export to the United States and as this example has the scarce 3 7/8 inch barrel vs. the longer fast tapper barrel and is chambered in the desirable "9mm" caliber. These early commercial Lugers were the best manufactured by the DWM factory with excellent fit and finish with beautiful rust blueing and straw colored small parts. This model has the correct short style frame and upper receiver with the flat toggles, short 3 7/8 inch barrel configuration with the distinctive grip safety and polished lower safety area. The top of the chamber area marked with the large distinct American Eagle crest with the DWM logo on the front toggle. The extractor is also correctly marked "LOADED" with the correct commercial style full serial number (33053) stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame with the last two digits of the serial number (53) stamped on the various small parts. The front end of the frame is stamped "GERMANY" indicating export outside of Europe. The pistol is fitted with a set of correct checkered walnut grips. It is complete with a correct nickel plated magazine marked with "Cal 9m/m" in script on wooden base. The back side of the left grip has been marked in ink "P. JANY 1910".
