Desirable DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Chambered in Scarce 9mm Parabellum

This is an excellent example of a DWM Commercial Model 1906 American Eagle 9 mm Luger that was manufactured by DWM. This type of Luger was manufactured expressly for export to the United States. This example has the scarce 3 7/8 inch barrel vs. the longer fast tapper barrel and is chambered in the desirable 9mm caliber. These early commercial Lugers were the finest manufactured by DWM with excellent fit and beautiful rust blue finish and straw colored small parts. This model has the correct short style frame and upper receiver with the flat toggles, distinctive grip safety and polished lower safety area. The top of the chamber is marked with the large American Eagle crest and the DWM logo is on the front toggle. The extractor is also correctly marked "LOADED" . It has the correct commercial style full serial number (29484) stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame with the last two digits (84) stamped on the various small parts. The front end of the frame is stamped "GERMANY" indicating export outside of Europe. The pistol is fitted with checkered walnut grips. It is complete with a correct nickel plated magazine marked "Cal 9m/m" in script on wooden base.
