The top barrel flat is marked "{ADDRESS SAML COLT/NEW YORK CITY}", cylinder is roll-engraved with the stagecoach holdup scene and "COLTS PATENT/No. 114952" and the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT." Serial number on barrel, frame and back strap. The trigger guard has the number "14952" with the first "1" of the serial number missing, possibly a factory error. Good. The revolver has a smooth gray patina showing some very scattered mild pitting. Traces of the cylinder scene are present. The grip straps retain strong amounts of original silver plating around the trigger with the exposed brass having an even patina. A hairline crack is present on the trigger guard. The grip is fine with a repaired chip, a small missing near at the toe and a few minor pressure dents.
