Desirable Cased Colt Second Generation 1851 Navy Conquistadores Del Cielo Special Edition Percussion Revolver Inscribed to Adam Thomson Founder and Chairman of British Caledonian Airways with Accessories and Documents

Only 174 of these Special Edition revolvers were manufactured for 1976. The Conquistadores Del Cielo or Conquerers of the Sky are an organization of airline and aerospace executives. Both sides of the barrel are roll stamped with decorative elements such as a golf club, revolver, cowboy hat, fishing pole, airplanes and other items. The top of the barrel is dated "7-11-1976" and the back strap is inscribed "Adam Thomson" in script. Fitted with a smooth one piece walnut grip. The factory letter confirms the configuration, that it came with a special glass lidded display case, that it was shipped to Adam Thomson Chairman of British Caledonian Airways on February 22nd, 1977 and that Guy Shafer the Corporate Vice President for Colt Industries ordered the revolvers for the 39th Fiesta of Los Conquistadores del Cielo celebrated between September 7th, 1976 and September 11th, 1976. With the glass lidded display case, a cap tin with collector tag, a bullet mold, a powder flask, a nipple wrench/screwdriver and Volume 1 Issue 1 of the Conquistador Chronicles. There is also a Birmingham proof certificate for this revolver.

Excellent, 99% of the original blue finish remains with some minor scratches on the left side of the barrel lug and a drag line on the cylinder. There is a British proofmark on the underside of the barrel in front of the barrel lug. Nearly all of the original case colors remain with some minor freckling. 99% plus of the original silver plating remains on the grip straps. The grip is also excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings. The case is excellent as well with some scattered scratches and dings. The accessories are all very good or better.
