Desirable "Badillini" Signed Master Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Krieghoff 100th Grand American Commemorative K-80 Trap Shotgun

Only 25 of these beautiful shotguns were manufactured to commemorate the 100th Grand American held in 1999. This shotgun has masterfully executed floral scroll engraving on the receiver, top latch, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware. The left and right side of the receiver have a gold wire inlay border, have the ATA logo in the center with "ATA", the rings of the clay bird and "GRAND AMERICAN/1899-1999" inlaid in gold. The bottom of the receiver has "K-80/KRIEGHOFF/GERMANY" inlaid in gold and "100 th/GRAND/AMERICAN/1999" inlaid in a shield. It is well known that K-80s cannot be engraved after they have been casehardened at the factory. It is signed in script "Badillini" next to the trigger. Giacomo Badillini was an Italian master engraver who performed work for Krieghoff and other manufacturers. The trigger is release/pull only. The over/under barrel has a fixed tapered rib with a white bead front sight and a steel mid bead sight. The barrels are threaded for Kolar choke tubes with a "S-37/.727" installed in the bottom and a "S-37/.722" installed in the top. Both barrels are ported, the hanger is stamped "7" and the chambers measure 2 3/4 inches with long forcing cones and ejectors. The breech end is stamped "F" and "IM", the date code is "AB" for 2001 and the serial number is "1227". The unsingle barrel has an adjustable tapered rib with a crossfire eliminating front sight having a white insert and a steel mid bead sight. The barrel is threaded for factory choke tubes with a steel number 4 choke installed. The date code is "KG" for 1996 and the serial number is "8251". There is a beautiful multi-point checkered Turkish walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with dual palm swell, raised comb with a Cheek-Eez pad and a thin Kick-Eez rocker style recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 inches. Comes with a Krieghoff branded Americase, stock wrench, recoil pad wrench, 3 extra Kolar choke tubes with choke wrench, a factory choke wrench, 2 extra factory choke tubes (2&3), several small spare "e" clips, 1 ejector detent ball and 1 extra thick Kick-Eez rocker pad. 2 3/4 inch chambers, bore diameter: O- .730 U- .732, min. bbl thickness: O- .041 U- .042, length of pull: 14 inches, drop at comb: 1 3/8 inches, drop at middle of comb: 1 1/8 inches, drop at heel: 1 9/16 inches, weight: 9lbs 4oz.

Excellent, the O/U barrels retain 99% of the original blue finish with some minor high edge wear and a few minor marks along with having been threaded for choke tubes and ported. The unsingle barrel retains 99% of the original finish with some scattered minor scratches and some minor freckling on top of the rib along with having been ported. The receiver retains virtually all of the satin nickel finish with only a few minor marks. The engraving remains sharp and virtually all of the gold inlay remains. The wood is excellent with some scattered nicks and dings. Mechanically excellent. A rare and beautiful shotgun that will attract everyone's attention at a shoot!
