Desirable American single shot percussion derringer marked J. Bitterlich & Co., Nashville, Tenn. on lock and barrel. The derringer shows early and characteristic styling with squared butt. Also, engravedGerman silver mounts and screw into barrel from forend. The wrist shows an old German silver repair secured by nine screws which is from the period of use. The metal surfaces are good to very good just normal aging andsome marks on barrel. The stock is also good showing considerable varnish other than mentioned repair. Est.; $3,000-$6,000
