The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and backstrap, with the assembly number "467" marked on the loading gate. Casehardened frame and hammer, with blue on the remaining parts. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sight, and fitted with two piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Gauge: 45 LC
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: hard rubber
Serial Number: 159797
Condition:
Fine. The barrel retains 30% crisp original blue finish with a dark brown rust patina on the balance. There is strong original blue finish on the top of the backstrap and protected areas of the trigger guard with a brown patina on the balance. The cylinder and loading gate have a dark brown patina. The frame has 30% case colors with the balance a dark gray mottled patina. There is overall minor oxidation on all the metal surfaces. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. Appears to be a crisp, very little used blackpowder Colt SAA that just came out of an attic!
