These sneak lugers produced in the 1932/33 time frames are really the first true Nazi era lugers ever produced in substantial quantities at the Mauser factory. The majority of the Nazi era Sneak lugers were primarily left over WWI lugers that survived not being destroyed, in the post-war years, they were reworked in the 1920 era to commercial lugers, that were, in some cases reworked again into Police lugers or a few of them were of a new manufacture with no or minimal markings to hide their manufacture and origin to circumvent the last remnants of the Versailles Treaty. Typically the only markings that will be found on these later series' of lugers will be the, as in this case, no-markings except the early Mauser firing proof and 'eagle WaA66 Waffenamt, and the remaining sear safety spring over the side plate. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and GELADEN" respectively. It has the front grip strap marked "L.D.203" for Landjagerei-Dusseldorf. This specific luger has the very early style serial number markings, it is numbered only on the front of the frame, and the underside of the barrel. The remaining parts are all unnumbered or proofed, except as noted above. It has the standard rust blue finish with straw colored small parts. It is complete having one early magazine with the tin-plated magazine body and the aluminum base that has been numbered in the Police style with the large serial numbers "9831/1/eagle C proof".
