Desirable 1926 Dated Norwegian Model 1914 Semi-Automatic Pistol Rig with Holster Pouch and Three Spare Magazines

This is a very nice example of a mid-production pre-war Norwegian Model 1914 pistols as produced in 1926. This was the standard issue Norwegian side arm right up through WWII. These pistols were manufactured at the Vapenfabrikk factory in Kongsberg from 1917 through 1945, with a total of approximately 30,000 manufactured. The plant was eventually taken over by the Germans during WWII with many pistols captured, reproofed and used by the Nazis, with this example not being reissued. The left side of the slide is marked with the Norwegian Crown over, "11.25 M/M AUT. PISTOL M/1914-NO 11755", with the right side of the slide dated "1926". The serial number or the last three digits are marked on the various parts. It is fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips similar to the Colt Model 1911 that have been varnished/painted or blackened and the pistol comes with one original lanyard loop magazine. This pistol is complete with a WWII Norwegian leather holster, shoulder strap and three pocket magazine pouch that includes three additional magazines. The frame and slide show some of the typical rough machine work. The consignor stated that he purchased this from the WWII vet who captured it from an Officer in Europe and that the last time it was used he shot a German infiltrator.

Very fine with 95% plus of the black phosphate finish with edge and high spot wear overall with thinning on the front grip strap. The grips are fine with distinct checkering on both sides showing wear across the tops, and minor handling marks and chips in the varnish. The holster and magazine pouch are both dark and oil stained with tight stitching showing scuffing and scratches overall. A nice complete Norwegian Model 1914 rig.
