This Is A Remarkable Sculpture Depicting A Woman Of Fashion And Grace. She Stands With A Slight Curve, One Hand On Her Hip And The Other Clasping A Spread Fan. She Wears A Simple Garment That Has Been Customized To Her Liking. There’S A Circular Cut Out That Hangs Slightly Off One Shoulder, One Side Of Her Arm Is Revealed And The Other Covered In Fabric Which Is Collected Just Below Her Waist And Tied, Leaving A Curtain Open To Expose Her Lower Leg A Fancy Shoe. Her Hair Is Short And Stylish And She Wears A Fitted Cap Over It. Both The Hat And Dress Have A Lower Hem That Is Decorated With Embroidery. She Wears A Bracelet And Necklace That Signifies Her Taste In Style. Her Face Itself Is Distinguished And Detailed With Precision And Grace. She Is Handmade Using The “Lost Wax Method” And Has A Two Tone Brown Patina. Signed L. Icart. Louis Justin Laurent Icart Was Born In Toulouse In 1890 And Died In Paris In 1950. He Did Bronze Sculptures And Was Also A Painter That Released Several Book’S Of His Artwork. He Lived In New York City In The 1920’S Where He Became Known For His Art-Deco Of Glamorous Woman.
