Deluxe quality W.W. Greener 12 gauge double barrel shotgun with Damascus barrels showing full address on the rib with “68 Haymarket, London, Winner of Field Trials” etc. and ending in 1879. The gun is numbered 39420 on the action and thebottom of the barrels. This Greener shows automatic ejectors, standard triggers and 30” barrels choked modified right and left. The action is beautifully and finely engraved with game scenes and banknote scroll. The fences showscalloped reinforcements and there is a gold crown on the release lever. The gun has been restocked long ago and the trigger guard shows a fancy signature type name engraved on the trigger guard which appears to be “A.W. BRI” the last twoletters are illegible due to the fancy script. The quality of the restocking is very good and done long ago with nice carving in the forend and around the action with fine checkered panels. The gun locks tight and shows beautiful bores. Thestock measures 14” to the end of the pad and 13 7/8” to the end of the wood. Out of a northern California estate. This is a very interesting W.W. Greener. Est.: $2500-$7500
