Deluxe Special Order Winchester Model 1894 lever action short rifle, desirable 38-55 cal., 20” octagon barrel with matted top flat and barrel address on the left side flat, ¾ magazine, deluxe wood with pistol grip butt stock, #468351. This gun is in overall very good to excellent condition showing approx 95% original blue on barrel assembly and approx. 85% muted original blue on the receiver including the engraved initials “W. D. C.” on the left side of the receiver. The bore is very good, the action and markings are crisp and the takedown fitting tight; there are strong traces of case color on the lever, the front sight is a Marble No. 2, the rear sight is an adjustable ramp style (unmarked); the wood stocks are in overall very good condition with better-than-average wood graining and just slight scattered nicks and mars from carry and storage; correct Winchester black hard rubber pistol grip cap, sling swivel eyelets and after market red hard rubber butt pad. The successful bidder should seek a factory letter on this beautiful ’94 to verify what appear to be the many additional features beyond standard on this gun and to see if the inscription is factory.
