The village of Asad-Abad produces a very limited number of Hamedans. However, the limited few that are produced are superior in terms of wool quality, design and color scheme. It is intriguing to mention that these vibrant and charming pieces are woven by the women of the household with very little education, if any at all. This Asad-Abad Hamedan is a perfect example of mans intrinsic genius striving for beauty and perfection, and in this case, in the form of a hand woven Rug, an art underfoot.
