Delicate full stocked Kentucky style rifle converted to percussion, .44 cal., 35” octagon barrel marked “M.F. Yahner”, plum brown patina to barrel with pitting around firing area; double set triggers working attime of description; brass ferrules, trigger guard and butt plate; brass patchbox has been plated, simple inlays on left side of butt stock, full stock with slender wrist and butt; tiger striped wood. This gun is inoverall good condition showing an old repair to the wrist of the gun that was broken long ago and repaired including what likely was a brass or metal wrist plate that was secured by screws of which the screws and plate havebeen removed. A great looking early rifle that is deserving of correct restoration to the wrist of the stock. From an old collection. Est.: $500-$1,000.
