Delaware January 1, 1776 Uncut Double Sheet of 16. A beautiful sheet made up of four each of the 4s, 5s, 6s, and 10s notes. Fourteen of the sixteen notes grade Superb Gem New, with the remaining two notes grading Choice New. The sheet has a single light fold between the panels that just touches the corner of one note lowering its grade to Choice, and the deckled bottom edge of the sheet comes close at the left, nearly touching the second note and lowering its grade to Choice. The remaining 14 pieces are utterly Superb, broadly margined, impeccable Gems. A beautiful item for framing, although unfortunately its highest dollar value would be in cutting it into fourteen Superb singles, which have recently been selling in the $600 range each. Let's hope this one stays intact, as sheets of this issue were never common and have of late become decidedly rare due to cutting. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
