Decoratively Etched Harness of Armor in the Style of the 16th Century

This suit appears to be completely homogenous. There are bands of floral scroll etching on the helmet, gorget, breastplate, pauldrons, arm defenses, gauntlets, tassets, and leg defenses. The skull of the closed helmet is composed of three pieces that are soldered and riveted together. There is a plume holder attached at the rear and two holes near the top center. The visor and ventail are each composed of one piece but are soldered together and do not have a latching mechanism. The one piece bevor is latched in place by the one piece gorget that has two oval holes that slip over two rotating oval posts on the rear collar portion on the skull. The edges are rolled on most components and there are decorative brass rivets. Has articulating finger gauntlets with a roped knuckle. There is a 4 into 1 pattern chainmail shirt under the armor composed of punched flat rings and butted links with a Vandyked lower edge. The sabatons are screwed to the wooden base. Stands approximately 69 inches tall without base. The base measures 18 1/4 inches wide x 18 3/8 inches deep x 12 inches tall.
