Decorative Victorian Wheellock Pistol
Produced without sights, with light scroll designs at the muzzle and breech of the barrel, continuing onto the tang. 22 3/4 inch overall length. Lock plate is unmarked, with an exposed wheel and mild engraving on the arm and spring. Disassembly of the aforementioned lock proves it to be a non-functioning look-alike creation made in the 19th century for decorative purposes. Smooth full length stock, with a horn tipped ramrod, floral decorated mother of pearl disc, and extensive bone inlay, with scenes of dogs chasing rabbits up the sides of the forearm, 2 dogs, one having successfully caught a rabbit, and a stag opposite the lock, another stag on either side of the wrist, a floral engraved collar around the flattened butt with a bird themed carving on the bone buttcap.

Condition: Fair and assembled, with a mixed dark patina on the barrel, showing a few areas of brown and a small amount of pitting. The lock plate is bright, with pitting. Stock is good, with a few mild cracks and chips, along with strong inlays. Mechanically does not function. (see above)
