Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Rhode Island (1727–1820). Stately ink signature, “Wm. Ellery,” on an off-white 1.5 x 1 clipped slip affixed to an individual-sized card. Matted with a steel engraving image of Ellery, along with a small print of the Declaration of Independence, to an overall size of 17.5 x 13.5. In very good condition, with some light wear and toning, a small ink notation visible at the top left corner, and a small area of paper loss to the bottom right corner.
