American military officer and Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1726–1797). Manuscript DS, signed “O. Wolcott,” one page, 7.25 x 5, September 8, 1778. Financial document regarding the “accounts of debts due from the Estate of S. Timothy Gaylord,” signed at the bottom by Wolcott. Matted with a caption and oval portrait, to an overall size of 10.5 x 9.5. Several ink spots, some light soiling and a couple of vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, otherwise fine condition.
