Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1728–1784), military officer, Continental congressman, and president of Delaware. LS, one page, 6.25 x 6, March 25, 1779. Letter to an unidentified gentleman. In full: “Your suit agst Thompson is the 74th on the list for the 2d week commencing April 15th. I enclose you the entries in the suit agst Chambers.” Letter is affixed to a slightly larger off-white sheet. A small separation to one horizontal fold, a couple minor spots, and slight show-through from a docketing notation on reverse, otherwise fine condition. Any correspondence from Rodney is seldom encountered.
