<B>Declaration Signer James Wilson Autograph Letter Signed.</B></I> One page with integral address leaf, 6" x 8.5", Lancaster, February 3, 1779, to John Pollock of Carlisle. In part, "<I>Mr. Glenn informs me that upwards of two hundred cords of Pine Wood have been cut upon my Plantation for the public Works. I have received from him two hundred dollars in part payment...</B></I>" This wood was likely cut to supply the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Wilson signed the Declaration of Independence as a representative of Pennsylvania. Very good condition, worn and toned at folds. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
