A long manuscript indenture involving Smith in a sale of land in Lewisburg to George Smith. James Smith has signed twice at the completion of the document. Smith signed the Declaration of Independence as a representative from Pennsylvania. This large document is in very good condition and has been linen-backed by a conservator to repair splitting at the folds. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
