Dated 26 July 1777, Revolution-dated document serves as a summons for suit on a promissory note. Countersigned by James Jackson. Partially-printed document measures 8'' x 12.25''. Irregular edges. Near fine given age. Handsomely mounted, matted and framed alongside an illustration of the fledgling government to an overall size of 25.5'' x 20.75''. An excellent relic from the American Revolution.
