Lot of 16. This is a fantastic and important group that we sorted out of the much larger Frawley Deadwood check archive. All but 3 are 1890s. The Chinese played a crucial and complicated role in the development of the West, especially related to railroads and lumber. This group includes names like Gen Noe, Wan Woo, Hing Hie, Kee, and others, though many of the names could be incorrect Western spellings. Many of them are signed on the back with Chinese characters. A group worthy of much more research!
