Ring bestowed upon David ''Deacon'' Jones upon his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980. Defensive end Jones is widely considered one of the greatest football players of all time. Gold ring features intricately detailed vignettes on the sides: one side portrays the Hall of Fame building in Canton, Ohio, with an inscription of Jones' position as Defensive End. Opposite side shows a trio of players in action inscribed ''Jones / Elected 1980''. Heavy, solid ring also features a central stone in translucent blue, with the HOF logo in gilt at its center, surrounded by the name, ''Pro Football Hall of Fame''. The band is engraved ''Deacon Jones'' on the inside near the 10kt gold hallmark. Size 12.5 to 13. Measures 1'' x 1.25''. Weighs 29 grams. Small flaw inside blue stone and superficial scratching from wear, else near fine. From the Deacon Jones estate.
