Dazzling colors and charming Persian Samane Bakhtiari Rug. Made of all natural, hand woven, vegetable dye, and baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a dynamic and exciting Bakhtiari with bold and brightly colored composition. These rugs are prized for their nomadic authenticity. Bakhtiari rugs are named after the Bakhtiari tribes, which is one of the oldest, most noble and well known Persian tribes. This large migratory tribe resides in the west central part of Iran. Different sub-tribes of Bakhtiari’s produce rugs with their own distinctive design and personality. Samane-Bakhtiari is among the finest most artistic and have a compact weaves. These Bakhtiari’s are sometimes referred to as 'Bibi-Baft" basically meaning” woven by woman" of the household.
