Day’s patent style percussion cane gun, circa mid 19 century with stag horn grip. The cane measures approx 35” overall, barrel portion almost 30” of approx 56 cal smooth bore. The metal portion shows a dark brownpatina, scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. Generally good, no evidence of markings or proofs. A small V notch rear sight and bead front sight are mounted on the barrel and period made by owner (slightlycrude). The mechanism is working. The stag grip is good with a deep patina.
