This work by the Italian painter Davide Benati (born 1949) is a color etching with aquatint on vellum paper and was made around 1993. Against a sun yellow background floral elements in various shades of blue protrude from the lower right corner into the middle of the work. The colorful work is signed and dated in pencil on the lower right with ‘Benati 93’ as well as opposing numbers in the lower left corner with the edition of ‘19/60’.



The work is in a good condition. En verso dust residues through the frame as well as small handling creases at the edge are visible. The total dimensions of the work are 144 x 105 cm, the sheet’s dimensions with the whole margin are 98 x 136 cm and the image size is 66 x 93 cm.



Davide Benati (born 1949)

Davide Benati was a student at the Art Academy in Modena and the Art Academy of Brera. The artist had his first solo exhibition in 1972 at the Gallery Il Giorno in Milan. He had a number of exhibitions in Italy, among others at the Biennale in 1982 and 1990. Since the 1980s his work has also been recognized internationally.
