TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal Radio Corporation of America letterhead, July 23, 1937. Letter to C. D. Batchelor, the editorial cartoonist for the New York Daily News, in full: "I was delighted to receive today through Mr. Clay Morgan of the NBC the original of your pictorial tribute to Senatore Marconi, which appeared in the Daily News July 21st. It was my privilege to have had Marconi's friendship for many years and I am grateful to you for sending me these pictures, which symbolize the great gift that Marconi gave to the world." In fine condition, with a black stain to the left edge. When Sarnoff was refused leave for Rosh Hashanah while working as an office boy at the Commercial Cable Company, he joined the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company of America on September 30, 1906, a move that started a career of over 60 years in electronic communications.
