British actor (1910–1983) who won the 1958 Academy Award for Best Actor in Separate Tables. Dapper vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Good luck, David Niven, 27 June 1938.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of June 27, 1938, the date the signature was acquired. In fine condition, with a light diagonal crease through lower portion of facial area, and some light rippling to emulsion, visible only at an angle.
