(Carolco/Tristar, 188) Finish large storyboard panels used as a final guide for the actual shooting of the film, executed by David Negron, one of the most popular production designers of the last 50 years. Approx. 28 11 in. x 17 in. pages with three 4 in. x 9 in. drawings each. This sequence was designed to establish the mood of the film and the determination of the Rambo character to rescue his imprisoned friend, Trautman. The sequence takes the reader all the way to the helicopter escape as they dodge a hail of gunfire from the Russian Commandoes. The action and quality of the drawings are in the classic tradition; each panel can easily stand on its own as an individual piece of art. The sequence ends with a surrealistic depiction of man and his horse as they battle a vicious desert storm.
