David F. Clark Inspected U.S. Calvary Model Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Manufactured in 1885. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line address and the under side is marked "P" and "D.F.C." directly ahead of the cylinder pin. The left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates followed "U.S.". The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "4401". The cylinder is marked with the letter "P", the bottom of the frame above the serial number is marked "D.F.C." and there is a letter "G" below the serial number on the trigger guard and back strap. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap, with the partial serial number "4401" marked on the barrel under the ejector housing and on the cylinder. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, "bulls-eye" ejector rod head walnut grip, and fitted with a smooth one-piece walnut grip absent of any inspection cartouche.

Good. The metal surfaces have been lightly cleaned and for the most part are bright showing some scattered minor pitting. The grips are also good with some wear on the lower edges, a few minor dents and a very small chip on each toe. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
