ALS in Hebrew, signed “D. Ben-Gurion,” one page, lightly-lined, 4.75 x 8.5, December 27, 1954. Letter to the office of the Chief Rabbi in Jerusalem. In part: “I thank you for your attention to the copy of my letter, which I sent to His Honor, the Chief Rabbi. I have received the response by the editor of Hatzofeh, which was sent to Mr. Zalman, and I am not satisfied with it. Rather, quite the opposite is true. No one from Yedioth Ahronoth was present at the meeting…what was published was a statement by an anonymous youth leader from the Bnei Akiva movement. Two youth leaders were present during the conversation, and I have received letters from both of them, expressing their sorrow at the distortions in the Hatzofeh newspaper.” In fine condition, with a diagonal crease to bottom, red notation at top, and two punch holes to right edge.
