TLS signed “D. Ben–Gurion,” one page, 5.5 x 8.5, The Winthrop Hotel letterhead, May 19, 1942. Brief letter to Jacob Greenberg, in full: "Thank you so much for your message of sympathy. With kind regards." In very good to fine condition, with some creasing and scattered foxing. This letter was written shortly after the Biltmore Conference, which occurred at New York's Biltmore Hotel between May 6 and 11, 1942. Ben-Gurion, as Chairman of the Jewish Agency Executive, secured the adoption of the Biltmore Program, which called for fulfillment of the Balfour Declaration and urged the establishment of Palestine as a Jewish commonwealth.
