Two sets of decorative, enameled silverware in two original, cloth-lined boxes, made by David-Anderson of Oslo, Norway. These seven spoons and a pickle fork are in the original boxes, both of which seem to have been designed for three rather than four pieces, so consider the two extra pieces as a bonus. These were designed as souvenir items on the Klaveness Line, a Norwegian shipping company that was instrumental in establishing the Royal Viking Line. David Andersen established his gold and silversmithing business in 1876. His son, Arthur, hyphenated the family name after his father died in 1901, and he introduced a very successful line of enameled silver and gold products that became synonymous with the company name. Aside from natural toning, these visually appealing pieces are in excellent, undamaged condition.
