The series started to attract critical attention, as well as a very large and loyal fan base - so large, and so loyal, that after more than two decades, the comic is still coming out every month. In this page from the very first issue, we can certainly see Barry Windsor-Smith influence on Sim. The art is drawn on a sheet of 10.5" x 15.5" sheet which has been mounted onto a slightly larger piece of illustration board; the image area is 10" x 14.75". The work is clean, with some some tape staining along the right edge. Signed by Dave Sim in middle panel at the bottom. <B>Estimate: $1,500-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
