<B>Daring Mystery Comics #3 (Timely, 1940) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white pages.</B></I> One of the earliest issues of one of Timely's earliest titles isn't an easy find. The <B>Photo-Journal</B></I> calls it "scarce", and we have offered copies infrequently since our comic auctions began in 2001. CGC has certified just three copies with grades above FN/VF 7.0, so think twice before you say you could find a nicer copy! Missing this issue meant you missed the only appearances ever of the Phantom Reporter, Dale of the FBI, and Captain Strong. Other features that began in this issue included Breeze Barton, Marvex the Super-Robot, and the Purple Mask. CGC notes, "1 large piece of tape on spine of cover." Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value = $503; VG 4.0 value = $1,006.
