This exceptional wall unit in teak and rosewood veneer with pull-down desk, circa 1960, is possibly a work by the important Danish designer, Borge Mogensen (1914-1972). Measures 69 3/4" high, 59 3/4" wide and 14 7/8" deep. Condition is excellent. There are only light scratches to the veneer in a handful of locations. Mogensen's designs were produced by Erhard Rasmussen, AB Karl Andersson & Sönner, Boligens Byggeskabe, A/S Fredericia Stolefabrik, Fritz Hansens Eft. A/S, P. Lauritsen & Søn's Møbelfabrik, C.M. Madsen's Fabrikker and Søborg Møbelfabrik A/S. We have not found a label on this piece. Mogensen was a contemporary of Arne Jacobsen and Hans Wegner, and along with these designers is credited with advancing the reputation of Danish furniture from the 1940s through the 1960s. We also have a unique rolltop desk firmly attributed to Mogensen. Please visit our eBay Store. This item resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment.
