In fact, it sold much of its tea in England! Coins such as this Speciedaler were minted to pay for the Indian trade, yet it was soon determined that paying in gold and silver specie was more practical, so few coins were minted. This piece is a great rarity and one of the more historically significant silver coins in this sale.
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.
Ex Irving Goodman Collection.

Our item number 116150
<IMAGES>

</IMAGES>
