Daniel D. Tompkins Document Signed as Governor of New York “Daniel D. Tompkins”. One page, 16” x 10.25”, Albany, March 15, 1815, endorsement on reverse. An appointment document naming Horace Jones the inspector of distilled spirits for Rensselaer County. Tompkin's signature is bold and bright. In addition to his service as governor of New York, Daniel D. Tompkins (1774-1825) served two terms as James Monroe's vice-president. The document retains the New York seal and, with the exception of the usual fold creases and a few small chips at the margins, is in fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
