Known as Dancing Girl she was produced, in lovely pink satin Depression glass, by Tiffin - US Glass from 1925 -1936 as part of a dresser or vanity set. She is shown and described on pages 26-27, where the Whitmyers list the differences between Dancing Girl and the similar, but for less difficult to find, Curtsy and on page 134, where she is shown with the entire set - of Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. This figural powder jar features a smiling young girl with outstretched arms and wearing an ornate low cut gown. Beautifully executed with fine definition to her features, figure and gown. The top edge of the base has the rope rim. This very rare and HTF powder jar measures 6 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches across the rim and, with the exception of two small chips on the edge of the lid, is in excellent condition.
