One-of-a-kind hand-painted 28 x 43 poster for Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs at Danceland in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on November 27, 1965, listing their hits, 'Wooly Bully' and 'Ring Dang Doo,' and featuring inset glossy photographs of the group. It also names Al's Untouchables as performers, and features a photo of them as well. The bottom of the poster advertises the price of admission as $1.75. In fine condition, with some creasing to the edges and some staining to the lower right corner. Billed as 'Iowa's Smartest Ballroom,' Danceland opened its doors in Cedar Rapids in 1928; the dance hall was a hotspot for hitmakers throughout the decades until its closure in 1968.
