Unique hand-painted 28 x 44 poster for Bobby Helm at Danceland in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on December 30, 1964, listing his hits, 'Jingle Bell Rock,' 'My Special Angel,' and 'Fraulein,' and featuring two inset matte-finish photographs. It bills Helm as a "Decca Recording Star, featured on Ed Sullivan, American Bandstand, Steve Allen, Grand Ol' Opry…Ozark Jubilee." It also advertises Bobby Hawkins and the Blue Boys as performers, and features a photo of them as well. The bottom of the poster advertises the price of admission as $1.50. In fine condition. Billed as 'Iowa's Smartest Ballroom,' Danceland opened its doors in Cedar Rapids in 1928; the dance hall was a hotspot for hitmakers throughout the decades until its closure in 1968.
