American made DA/SA six-round centerfire revolver chambered for .357 Magnum, manufactured between 1970 and 1971 in Monson, MA. This is an early Dan Wesson revolver that still marks the model on the right side of the frame. Revolver features a gloss blued finish, a 6-1/8" shrouded interchangeable barrel, serrated fixed blade front sight, micrometer adjustable notched rear sight, shrouded ejector rod with a knurled head, in-the-white wide smooth curved trigger, fluted six-round cylinder, serrated cylinder release located in front of the cylinder, 'porkchop' barrel shroud (ended in 1975), transfer bar safety, in-the-white external hammer with serrated spur, and single-piece Sacramento style smooth hardwood finger grooved grip (rounded at the heel for law enforcement carry). The original blued finish retained is approximately 94% with scattered light scratches, edge wear, losses at the rear of the cylinder, losses on the frame under the cylinder, and a drag line on the cylinder. Metal displays no deformation, but does show some small scattered spots of rust on the right side of the frame. The action is smooth and crisp. The hardwood grips are very good with light handling blemishes, and there is accidental chamfering around the screw hole. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent.
Condition is NRA Good.
