<B>Dan Barry - Flash Gordon Daily Comic Strip Original Art, Group of 6 (King Features Syndicate, 1956-62).</B></I> Dan Barry's talent was widely admired by his peers. As a result, his slick, realistic art style became the model for the modern action-adventure cartoonist. The realism of his work altered the lush, romantic fantasy feel of the <I>Flash Gordon</B></I> strip, and turned it toward a more earthly and contemporary direction. Included in this lot are dailies dated 9-7-56, 1-10-59, 2-20-59, 2-25-59, 9-6-62, and 3-3 (year unknown). The image area of each strip ranges from approximately 18.25" x 5.25" to 15" x 4.25".
