Dakota Model 1873 Buntline revolver by Jager of Italy, .45 Colt caliber, Serial #63692. The pistol is in overall very good to nearly excellent condition with a 16” high polish blued barrel. The barrel retains nearly all of its high polishblue with on slight wear at the muzzle. The action is beautifully case colored with a brass trigger guard. The smooth wood grips show slight mars from handling. The metal skeletonized stock shows mars from use but retains the majority ofits black finish. The bore is very good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on the buntline. According to the consigner, this particular pistol was specially made for one of the founders of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). (Modern). Est.: $400-$800.
