U.S. Military Daisy Model 95 ''Quick Kill'' BB Training Gun, NVSN, .177 cal., 18'' barrel, with no sights and longer adult-length buttstock. Dating from 1967. The U.S. Army adopted a program to teach instinctive or ''point shooting'' in 1967. Trainees would begin firing at a 3.5'' dia. disk thrown in the air from 6' to 12' in front of them. After getting the hang of it, they would use 2.5'' disks; then working on ground targets, and graduating to service rifles with the sights taped over. As in stand-off or ambush situations, the individual that gets the first shots off tends to have a much higher survivability rate. An interesting oddity for the U.S. martial arms collector, seldom survived today. Condition is good retaining approx. 85%-90% glass black paint. Pine stock and forend show most of their original varnish. Action is crisp and functions well. Est.: $350-$500.
